Sai Swayam Society has consistently worked towards the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities - PwDs through education-based initiatives. In its initial years, the focus was on remedial classes and tuition support for high school students. These myriad informal interventions were consolidated in 2018 through targeted programs. As a result, the Sai Swayam Society School was established, and since then, over 100 students have benefited from free schooling and quality pedagogy. Many of them have successfully passed Class 10th and 12th through SSS-assisted open examinations.
Moreover, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and a funding partner, significant strides were made in primary education and teacher empowerment at a Deaf school in Rohini, which currently supports over 200 students.
One of the prominent initiatives of Sai Swayam Society was the "Super 30 Program" launched in 2019–20 for school dropout students. This special project focused on youth with disabilities who had discontinued their education due to socio-economic constraints and were struggling to secure gainful employment due to low academic qualifications. By providing free remedial educational support for one year, Sai Swayam Society achieved a remarkable 100% success rate in NIOS Class 10th and 12th examinations. This achievement significantly boosted the employment prospects and career paths of these individuals with disabilities.
