Sai Swayam Society

About Sai Swayam Society

Established in 2006 by the passionate and visionary Mrs. Meera Chetan Bhatia, Sai Swayam Society is dedicated to empowering the Speech and Hearing Impaired (SHI) community across India. With a special emphasis on women, children, and youth, the organization works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for the SHI group.

A key focus is on accessible education—providing a holistic academic journey from early intervention to Class 12 through the Total Communication approach, which integrates Indian Sign Language (ISL) to bridge communication gaps. Sai Swayam Society also promotes STEM education to mainstream SHI children and prepare them for a technologically driven future.

Beyond education, the organization is committed to ensuring economic independence by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the deaf. Through advocacy, awareness, and action, Sai Swayam Society champions a more inclusive society where every speech and hearing-impaired individual can lead a life of dignity and purpose.
