Present situation of Speech and Hearing Impaired people is not too great. Lots to be done especially towards education of the hearing impaired students. Education system needs to be revamped in a big way. One will get the confidence to start a self employment venture once one is confident and skilled of being able to handle the pressure that the venture demands .
jobs in the govt.sector have been there and is me 3% reservation for people with disabilities and people with Hearing Impairement do get the benefit being part of this group. But with 12 million speech and hearing impaired peopleof the total population in India this 3% sounds very less.
COPRPORATE sector is opening its doors slowly but surely however the pace need to match the speed at which the sector itself is growing be it manufacturing, services, financial institutions etc. and here I am talking of jobs at all levels blue as well as white collar jobs.
